First Friday Museum Visit
About this event
On Friday, October 6th we will visit Planet Word. https://planetwordmuseum.org/
Planet Word is an immersive language experience located at the historic Franklin School in Washington, D.C. It is a voice-activated museum (the world’s first!), and the interactive galleries and exhibits bring words and language to life in all sorts of fun ways. It is the only museum in the country dedicated to renewing and inspiring a love of words and language. Using the museum’s state-of-the-art technology, visitors determine their experience through their own words and choices. Planet Word is a bold and imaginative response to the life-long importance of literacy and to the challenge of growing a love of language.
As always, we will meet at the Takoma Park Metro at 1:00pm on the platform near the elevator. We will take the first train after 1:00. There is about a four block walk from Metro Center station.
Please note: Registration is required. We have a limited number of timed-entry tickets.
This event open to all and free, except for the cost of transportation. Please bring a SmarTrip card for Metro.
