Virtual art tour: Modern and Contemporary BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Persons of Color) artists

Virtual art tour:  Modern and Contemporary BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Persons of Color) artists
This is a zoom conversation about modern and contemporary art, led by a Hirshhorn Museum docent who, along with other docents who miss leading tours during the time of COVID-19, has developed "Dial-a-Docent", a free service for individuals and groups who miss visiting museums.   The focus of this conversation will be art by Black, Indigenous, and Persons of Color artists.  Most, but not all of the art discussed is in the Hirshhorn's collections.

Presenter:
Jackie Small
Jackie grew up in the DC area and has lived here most of her life in the area except for 11 years in Chicago.  She graduated from the University of Maryland (BA History) and George Washington University (MA Art History).  Now retired, she spent most of her professional life working in fundraising and special events for a variety of non-profits including The Art Institute of Chicago, Smithsonian Institution, National Public Radio and The American Red Cross. She volunteers at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden conducting a weekly public tour as well as requested tours for schools and special interest groups.
