Roger Schlegel and Adriana Elefante will share copies of the new "Wild South Takoma" map and guide, which highlights natural places, flora and fauna in south-central Takoma Park
They'll describe the inspiration and process for this volunteer-led project to connect residents with the simple wonders of our local ecosystem and to foster simple actions to support its health -- with the hopes that the concept can be replicated for additional neighborhoods in our area.
As time permits, Roger will share an idea for expanding our community's network of benches, which encourage walking and help build social connections.
Refreshments will be served.
