WHAT: Many of us have been—or will be—touched by the loss of a spouse or partner at some point in our lives. This can be an emotionally difficult time, filled with unique challenges and new roles. This presentation will provide information about grief and loss after the death of a spouse or partner, and present coping strategies and resources. This program is presented by Bereavement Counselors from JSSA Hospice.
PRESENTERS:
Deb Vaughn is a board-certified chaplain, experienced in working with patients and families in the hospital and hospice settings. She has been with JSSA Hospice for 8 years, currently working as a bereavement counselor.
Bridget Burke is a hospice social worker and bereavement counselor with a Masters of Social Work with a concentration in Clinical Health from Catholic University of America. Experienced with palliative care and hospice services in Washington DC and Maryland, she helps patients and families navigate their end-of-life journey, along with processing and reintegrating their lives following such losses.
