Celebrating Community And Choice, a Conversation with Dr. Atul Gawande (internet simulcast)

Renowned surgeon, public health researcher and writer Dr. Atul Gawande, author of Being Mortal,  will be the guest speaker at the 15th Anniversary Celebration of the founding of Beacon Hill Village in Boston and the subsequent Village Movement their innovative model inspired.  His conversation, entitled “Being Mortal’s Villages: The Value of Community and Choice as we Grow Older,” will be moderated by Robin Young, host of NPR’s Here & Now, and feature a discussion on aging, living life with purpose, and how we can transform the possibilities for the later chapters in everyone’s lives.

 

Please arrive by 4:45 pm as the event will begin promptly at 5:00 pm EDT.  It will be simulcast from Boston to more than 150 villages across the country. Note that this event will not be recorded or streamable, so this is your only chance to see it.  

Space is limited so pre-registration is required. Village membership is not required.
